Offseason Training in Cold Climates
Yes, I know Baseball in the snow is no fun. But if you don't keep your arm and body in shape then your going to be well behind everyone else come spring time. Here are a few drills that should provide an opportunity to keep in shape.
1. Hit the Gym. You have to keep your body in shape, that includes Legs, Shoulders, Back and Arms.
2. Keep swinging even when nobody is pitching. That's right. Hit off a T - even the big leaguers do it.
3. Try and get to an indoor facility atleast 2 times a month. Rick Johnston has a place in Mississauga. Here is a link - www.thebaseballzone.ca - I believe there are several other locations as well in Toronto.
